This bike belongs to the same gent who owns the rather nice CB750 that at the time of writing we also have for sale.  He’s thinning down his collection and we’re helping him find new homes for the bikes.
His K1 is red and yellow K1 “Rhubarb and Custard” (as UK market calls the red and yellow bike) or “Mustard and Ketchup” (as the US market calls it). Purchased in 2014,  and used to do a couple of 10 days tour to Europe on, but that’s about it.  I was with him for both of those trips and the bike performed without fault.
It is the first BMW superbike and was a 90’s icon especially in red and yellow.   This one has the original seat hump too – lots of these have been lost over the years.
Very informative little read here about the bikes should you wish to know a little more.

It was first registered on 06 06 90 and he’s the 5th owner.  The previous guy bought it in 2007 and toured with it.  It has a K&N air filter and that’s it for mods….and as you’d like it to be.
With such little use, he’s had it serviced by a local company once in the time he’s owned it, covering a whole of 3000 miles during that time.
Last year I had it stripped refurbed and repainted along with new decals and seat cover – £1000 invoice to hand.
The paint shop have dislodged an earth and since then 2 gauges, petrol and temp in fairing work haphazardly along with ABS light. It’s booked back in at the garage to sort but with Covid 19…..there has been a delay.   But the season is upon us somewhat, we wanted to get it up and on the market.
It has done just over 40k miles and has the normal BMW “brick” smell of oil on the overrun, which is normal, but will be a result of some wear in the valve guides, but runs just fine.  Paint and decal wise it is perfect, the decals…. they had to be sourced from Greece!
It had a new battery and fuel pump at last MOT.
Just about ready to go….
Better photos and video will follow.
