TVR Cerbera Speed Six – 1999/T
43,000 miles supported by a comprehensive and detailed history file going back to new. (See below).
Porsche Polar Silver with Portland Grey, and Navy hide, with Navy carpets and headlining.
Engine rebuild done, and outriggers also done. More info below.
This car was supplied new by Team Central TVR on 01/07/1999.
She comes equipped with 18″ Spiders, A/C, Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser, alloy radiator, ACT sports exhaust system and all the usual Cerbera refinements.
The car had an engine rebuild at Blackpool in 2002, at 16,600 miles, and the top end was rebuilt again in 2009 at 27,844 miles using a TVR Power head. We have just carried out a valve clearance service and can confirm the engine does contain the later upgraded camshafts, followers and guides. So a very nice starting point on the engine.
Obviously the other big Cerb issue is the state of the outriggers. This car had them replaced in 2008 at 27,000 miles and they are all in good condition and would not be a concern going forwards for many years.
The mechanical condition of this car is very good, we have just carried out extensive works prior to sale, please call for full details, but a quick list of what we’ve done includes as follows:
FULL 12k Service
New clutch and lightened flywheel
4 new Pirelli P Zero tyres
Wheels all refurbished in Sparkle Anthracite
New adjustable shock absorbers all round
New starter motor
Reconditioned wiper motor
New rear upper wishbone bushes
New oil tank and oil pipes
The car has also had a lot of other recent expenditure. In 2019 it had the diff bushes replaced.
In 2018 it had new headlamp lenses, and engine mounts, alternator, and a service and another £4k spent on it.
So mechanically, as you can see this car has been very well maintained, and many of the big Cerbera questions have been answered and recently addressed.
The service history file is excellent. Please call for a greater breakdown and in-depth chat, but the dates and mileages are as follows:
01/04/99 – 50 miles. PDI – Team Central.

We don’t think you’ll be anything but satisfied with the invoices file, with records going back to new, even sales receipts from the first few sales, plus all old MOTs, and a Cerbera brochure as a cherry on top. 🙂
The provenance is all there. Original handbook/service book also present along with two fobs.
The paintwork on the car is very presentable, there is the odd stone chip and mark, but being a silver car it really wears its coat well. It’s a fair and useable example, with some age related patina. Overall it presents very well indeed, and it’s a good opportunity to get into Cerbera ownership for less than £20k.
The interior has worn its miles well indeed, especially for a Cerbera. A small amount of wear, as usual to the drivers seat bolster, but the rest of the seats are excellent, carpets are in fantastic order, and the headlining is clean and sag free. (and Sagaris free as well).
All the electrics work, event the A/C manages to putter out some cooler air (Which for a £20k TVR is a positive).
On the road, it drives exactly as you’d hope it would. With the new clutch, lightened flywheel, plus the shocks, tyres and geo done, it feels sharp and taut. It accelerates with real enthusiasm, and revs up nicely with that lightened flywheel. It gives real confidence when pushing on, and feels on-point and better than many a more expensive examples we’d like to bet.
A full set of high res photos will soon be available, along with the usual videos on the Shmoo Automotive website.
Overall, this is a really good, honest example, with the knowledge that the big jobs are all done. Cosmetically, it’s more than presentable, and the interior is very good. A car you can either just use and enjoy, or gradually improve cosmetically during your ownership, should you wish.
